Let window shoppers reach you when you're closed

To use a QR code in a shop window, make a link code that opens your online shop, booking page or menu. CirculateQR's Storefront Window template adds UTM tags (source qr, medium window-sign) so window visits show up in your web analytics, and counts scans by day and time. Change the destination when the display changes. On Studio, a time rule can open your booking page during opening hours and the online shop after closing.

The problem

Why the printed version falls short

Window shoppers walk past after hours with no way to buy

Opening times and offers change faster than window signs

A web address on the glass is easy to ignore

You can't tell whether a window display gets attention

What you get

Storefront Windows with CirculateQR

Put a link code in the window that opens your online shop, booking page or menu. Scans are counted, so you can see when people stop and look.

  • Passers-by open your online shop, booking page or menu
  • Change the destination when the display changes
  • See scans by day and time
  • Visits tagged with UTM medium window-sign
  • A code in your colors that fits the window design
How it works

How to set it up

  1. Choose the page

Your online shop, a product collection, a booking page or your menu. Paste the link into Studio and keep Analytics on.
  2. Check the campaign tags

The template adds UTM tags such as source qr and medium window-sign, so window visits show up separately in your web analytics.
  3. Print a window sign

Pick your colors, download a PDF, and place it at eye level with a short line such as 'Scan to shop'.
  4. Update and review

Change the destination when you change the display, and check when people scan.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can the code open something different when the shop is closed?

Yes, with time routing on the Studio plan. On any plan you can change the destination in Studio yourself at any time.

Will it scan through glass?

Usually, if the glass is clean and the code is printed large with good contrast. Test it from the sidewalk before you finish the display.

Can I see sales from the window?

CirculateQR counts scans. With UTM tags on the link, your online shop or web analytics can show what those visitors bought.

What should the code open?

Whatever someone outside can act on: your online shop, a booking page, today's menu, or the items on display.

What happens on the free plan?

A tracked link code is dynamic, so on the free Standard plan it stays live for 14 days after publishing, then pauses. A plain link code with no tracking is static: it never expires, but you can't change it or count scans.

Start with the Storefront Window template

The template opens in Studio with starter content filled in. Change the text, pick a design and download. The free plan needs no card.
