CIRCULATEQR
Education & Non-Profit

From the handout to the resource in one scan

To use QR codes in class, start from the Classroom Materials template in Studio and paste the link to your class page, slides, video or reading list. Students scan with a phone or tablet camera instead of typing a long address. The code goes through a short link, so you can point it at the next unit's material without reprinting. On any plan, language routing can send phones set to another language to a version of the page you've made for families.

The problem

Why the printed version falls short

Students mistype long web addresses

Links printed in handouts go stale

Resource lists get lost in bags and inboxes

Families can't find the page the class uses

You can't tell whether anyone opened the material

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can I see which students opened the material?

No. Scans are anonymous. You see how many scans there were, when, and on which kinds of device, not who scanned.

Can I keep material private to my class?

Yes. Add a password on any plan, and students type it before the link opens.

Will the page appear in each family's language?

Only if you make a page in that language. On any plan, language routing sends each phone language to the link you choose. Nothing is converted automatically.

Does the code keep working all term on the free plan?

Free dynamic codes stay live for 14 days after publishing, then pause until you upgrade. A static link code never expires, but it can't be edited or tracked.

Do students need an app?

No. Phone and tablet cameras open the link directly.

Start with the Classroom Materials template

The template opens in Studio with starter content filled in. Change the text, pick a design and download. The free plan needs no card.
