A food truck menu that moves with you
To use a QR code on a food truck, link it to a menu page you can edit at any time. CirculateQR's Food Truck template is a menu page with today's location and hours in the label above the title, then your items with prices, photos and dietary labels. Mark an item sold out from the code's page in your dashboard, and change the location line each time you move.
Why the printed version falls short
A menu board can't keep up with daily specials
Customers wait in line only to find an item is sold out
People don't know where the truck will be next
Paper menus on the counter blow away or get wet
Customers ask about allergens at a busy window
Food Trucks with CirculateQR
Post today's location above the menu, change prices and items whenever you like, and mark things sold out while you serve.
- Today's spot and hours above the menu title
- Prices, photos, descriptions and dietary labels
- Sold-out switches that show on the live menu right away
- Customers read the menu while they wait in line
- The same code on the truck, flyers and social posts
- Scan counts by day and time to compare stops
How to set it up
Build the menu
In Studio, open the Food Truck template and replace the sample tacos with your items, prices and dietary labels.Add today's spot
Put the location and hours in the label above the title, such as 'Today: 5th & Main, 11 AM to 3 PM'.Print for the truck
Download PNG, SVG or PDF and print it large enough to scan from the line. Laminated or vinyl prints hold up better outdoors.Update as you go
Change the location line before each stop, and flip the sold-out switches on the code's page during service.
Useful extras
Sold-out switches
Turn items off from the code's page in your dashboard. The live menu marks them sold out without a republish.
Dietary and allergen labels
Tag items vegan or gluten-free, and list allergens like dairy and nuts, so customers can check before they reach the window.
Order ahead for pickup
Use an order page set to pickup: orders appear in your dashboard and the customer's phone shows when it's ready. Customers pay at the window.
Different menus by dayStudio+
A link code with day-of-week rules can open your weekday lunch menu or your weekend event menu, each as its own menu page.
A plan badge means that plan or higher is needed. Paid marketplace templates show their one-time price. Compare plans

Frequently asked questions
Can I update the menu while we're serving?
Yes. Sold-out switches on the code's page change the live menu right away. Price and item changes are made in Studio and published; the printed code stays the same.
Can customers order or pay through the code?
Not from a menu page. For order-ahead, use an order page set to pickup: orders appear under Orders in your dashboard and the customer's phone shows the status. Nothing is charged online; customers pay at the window.
How do customers know where we'll be?
Put the location and hours in the label above the menu title and change it before each stop. The code on the truck, flyers and social posts all open the same page.
Will it scan outdoors?
Usually, if it's printed large with dark modules on a light background. Test it in daylight from where the line forms.
What happens on the free plan?
On the free Standard plan, a menu code stays live for 14 days after you publish it, then pauses. Upgrading reactivates it, or a one-time $5 payment keeps that one code live permanently, before or after it pauses.
