Put class resources one scan away
To use a QR code for classroom materials, paste the link to your class page, slides, video or reading list into the Classroom Materials template in Studio, then print the code on handouts, worksheets or a poster. The code is a short link, so next unit you can point the same printout at new material and see how often it's scanned. On any plan, the Language block can send phones set to another language to a version you've written for families.

Useful extras
Password Gate
Ask for a password before the link opens, for material meant only for your class. Wrong guesses are rate-limited.
End Date
Stop the code working after a deadline, such as when an assignment closes. Later scans show a page saying it has ended.
Language Routing
Phones set to a language you choose go to a different link, such as a letter to families you've written in that language. The page itself isn't changed for you.

Frequently asked questions
Do students need an app?
No. Most phone cameras read QR codes and open the link in the browser.
Does the code show my page in another language?
Not by itself. On any plan, the Language block sends phones set to a chosen language to a different link. You write that version yourself.
Can I see which students scanned?
No. Scans are anonymous. You see counts over time, device type, browser, phone language and approximate city.
Can I reuse a code next term?
Yes. Change the destination in Studio and the printed code opens the new link.
What happens on the free plan?
Codes you can edit and track stay live for 14 days after publishing, then pause until you upgrade. A one-time $5 payment keeps one code live for good. A plain link code with no tracking never expires, but you can't change it later.
