CIRCULATEQR
Alternatives

Looking for a Uniqode alternative?

If you use Uniqode (formerly Beaconstac) and want monthly billing, routing and full analytics without moving up to Core ($49 a month, billed yearly), or dynamic codes on a free plan, CirculateQR is built for that: language and device rules and scan breakdowns are on every plan, and time, location and A/B rules come with Studio ($12 a month). If you need Uniqode’s stated compliance, SSO or high-volume bulk creation, it remains the stronger choice.

Uniqode (formerly Beaconstac) is a QR code and digital business card platform from Uniqode Phygital, Inc. in New York. Facts about Uniqode come from the official sources listed below, checked October 2026; prices and features change, so confirm on Uniqode's official site before you switch.

Reasons

Why people look for a Uniqode alternative

Each comes from Uniqode's own pages, linked below it. Whether it matters depends on how you use Uniqode.

Plans are billed yearly

Its pricing FAQ says it currently offers annual plans only; its help center says monthly billing may be available if you ask support.

Routing and deeper analytics start on Core

Smart Rules start on Core ($49 a month, billed yearly), as do advanced analytics, GPS tracking and integrations. Essential ($9 a month, billed yearly) includes 15 dynamic codes.

No free dynamic codes

Static codes are free and there’s a 14-day trial, but dynamic codes need a paid plan: its pricing FAQ says they become inactive when a trial ends or you cancel.

No AI-generated QR art

Its AI assistant, Una, offers analytics insights and setup help; we didn’t find AI-generated QR artwork.

Instead

What you get with CirculateQR

Matched to those reasons, in order. Plan limits are on the pricing page.

  • Monthly billing on every paid plan (Studio $12, Artisan $39), or about 20% less billed yearly.
  • Language and device rules, and scan breakdowns by time, device, language and location with CSV export, on every plan; time, location and A/B rules from Studio; weather from Artisan.
  • A free plan with dynamic codes: 10 QR credits a month; up to 5 dynamic codes live at once, each live 14 days unless upgraded or unlocked for $5; unlimited static codes. When a paid plan ends, dynamic codes keep working for 14 days, then pause until you resubscribe. Nothing is deleted, and a one-time $5 unlock keeps any one code live for good.
  • AI QR art, decoded with a QR reader and repaired if the art breaks the code. Studio includes 10 AI credits a month; credit packs (from $9 for 10 AI credits) work on any plan.
Trade-offs

What you'd give up

Where Uniqode is stronger, or what CirculateQR doesn't offer today.

  • Stated SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA, GDPR and ISO 27001 compliance, two-factor sign-in and malicious-URL detection. CirculateQR doesn’t claim those certifications.
  • SAML SSO, user seats and role-based access. CirculateQR has no SSO or team seats.
  • Integrations such as Zapier, Make, Google Sheets, Slack and Canva from Core. CirculateQR has no native Zapier, Sheets or Slack app; its webhooks work with Zapier or Make.
  • Country rules. CirculateQR’s location rules use a radius around a point.
  • Bulk creation on every paid plan (up to 5,000 codes per batch on Business+) and 24/7 phone, chat and email support. CirculateQR has no CSV upload.

Switching

How to switch from Uniqode

A printed dynamic code keeps depending on the provider whose short link it holds; a static code holds its content and depends on no provider. Move in this order:

  1. Sort your printed codes

Scan each one. A Uniqode short link means a dynamic code that depends on Uniqode; a code that opens your own address, WiFi or contact card directly is static and depends on no provider.
  2. Set up the new codes first

Create your CirculateQR codes, pages and rules before changing anything, so every scan has somewhere to go.
  3. Repoint printed codes

Uniqode lets you edit a dynamic code’s destination without reprinting. While your subscription is active, point each one at its new destination; scans still pass through Uniqode.
  4. Reprint before the renewal date

Codes go inactive when you cancel, so replace printed ones first; yearly billing makes the renewal date a natural cut-off. New CirculateQR dynamic codes rely on CirculateQR’s short link (circulateqr.com/go/…) in the same way; static codes rely on no provider.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is a good alternative to Uniqode?

CirculateQR for monthly billing, cheaper routing and dynamic codes on a free plan. If compliance is why you use Uniqode, Flowcode and QR Code Generator also state SOC 2 compliance, and QR TIGER states ISO/IEC 27001 certification. QR Code Monkey covers static codes for free.

Is there a Uniqode alternative with monthly billing?

Yes. Every CirculateQR paid plan can be billed monthly, from $12 a month, and QR TIGER’s Regular ($7) and QR Code Generator’s Starter ($19.99) can be paid monthly too.

Will my Uniqode codes keep working after I switch?

Static codes will. Dynamic codes become inactive when the subscription is cancelled, says Uniqode’s pricing FAQ, and return if you reactivate. Repoint them while the plan is active, and cancel once printed codes are replaced.

Does this apply to Beaconstac?

Yes. Uniqode is Beaconstac’s new name.
