QR code menus and table ordering

A CirculateQR menu is a mobile page guests open by scanning a code on the table: sections, prices, photos, dietary and allergen labels, and sold-out tags you can switch from your phone. Change the menu whenever you like; the printed code stays the same.

Add ordering and guests can pick dishes, choose table service or pickup and send the order. It appears under Orders in your dashboard with the table number and kitchen notes, you move it along from received to ready, and the guest’s phone shows the status. Nothing is charged online: guests pay their server or at the counter, so there is no payment fee or commission.

How it works

From table scan to kitchen

  1. Build the menu

Start from the Restaurant Menu or Table Ordering template and add your items, prices, photos and labels.
  2. One code per table

Set the table number on each table’s code so every order says where it goes, or allow pickup orders.
  3. Take orders

Keep the Orders page open on a tablet. It refreshes every 10 seconds with an optional chime, and you can pause ordering when the kitchen is busy.
  4. Keep it current

Mark dishes sold out without republishing, and edit the menu in Studio whenever it changes.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do guests need to download an app?

No. The menu and order pages open in the phone’s browser.

Can guests pay through the QR code?

No. CirculateQR doesn’t take payments. Guests are told to pay their server, or at the counter for pickup orders.

How do orders reach the kitchen?

Orders appear under Orders in your CirculateQR dashboard, which you can keep open on a tablet. There is no POS or kitchen-printer integration.

Does CirculateQR charge a fee per order?

No. There is no per-order fee or commission; ordering is included with every plan.

Can I mark items as sold out?

Yes. Switch an item to sold out from the code’s page. Guests can’t order it, and you don’t need to republish the menu.

Can my menu appear in other languages?

There is no automatic translation. You can publish a menu page per language and, use a language rule (on every plan) on a link code to send phones set to that language to the right one.
