CIRCULATEQR
AI QR code art

AI QR code art that’s checked to scan

CirculateQR turns a description, or one of 124 scene templates, into artwork with your QR code drawn into the scene, for example printed on a cup sleeve, a sign or a screen. It then reads every image with a real QR decoder at several sizes and only marks it as scanning if it decodes to exactly your link.

Image models often draw codes that look right but don’t scan. When that happens, CirculateQR finds the code in the picture, redraws the true code in the same place, matching the art’s angle, lighting and colors, and checks it again. Every image is labelled: Scans, Scans (corrected) or Not verified.

How it works

Generate, decode, repair, decode again

  1. Describe the scene or pick a template

Write what you want, or start from a scene template. Add reference images for style, subject, product or color.
  2. Generate

Google’s Gemini image model draws the scene with your code in it, at 2K. Artisan and Stealth can generate at 4K.
  3. Automatic scan check

The image is decoded with ZXing, with jsQR as a backup, from full size down to 700 pixels wide. It passes only if it reads back your exact link.
  4. Automatic repair

If the check fails, the real code is redrawn into the image and decoded again. If it still doesn’t read, the image is marked Not verified so you know to regenerate or test it.

In detail

What you control

124 scene templates

Across 16 categories, from food and retail to events, real estate and trades. Artisan and Stealth include all of them; on other plans the first in each category is free and the rest are sold individually.

Reference images

Upload images to guide style, subject, product, setting or color: up to 3 on Studio, 8 on Artisan and 13 on Stealth.

Layout and density

Choose from 10 aspect ratios and four code sizes, and set density, which picks the error-correction level.

Web search grounding

On Artisan and Stealth, the model can look things up with Google Search, which helps with real places, products and styles.

Refine with a prompt

Ask for changes to an image you like. The refined image goes through the same scan check.

Keep the raw art if you want

Switch off the repair to keep the AI’s original image. It is then labelled as not verified, so test it before printing.

Plans

What each plan includes

A standard image uses 1 AI credit; a 4K image uses 4, and web search adds 1. The free plan includes no AI credits; AI credit packs can be bought on any plan, including Free (10 for $9, 30 for $24, 100 for $69), and don’t expire.

Use cases

Where it's useful

Posters and print ads →

A code that’s part of the artwork gets noticed and still scans.

Product packaging →

Put the code into a product scene that matches the box design.

Restaurant table cards →

A menu code drawn into a dish, a chalkboard or a coffee cup.

Event posters →

Match the code to the event’s look instead of pasting a black square on top.

Magazine ads →

Art-directed codes for full-page print placements.

Storefront windows →

A window graphic with the code in the scene, readable from the street.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do AI-generated QR codes actually scan?

Not always. Image models often bend or blur the pattern. That’s why CirculateQR decodes every image and redraws the real code into the picture when the art breaks it. If an image still won’t read, it is labelled Not verified. Always scan a printed proof with your own phone at the size you’ll use.

How does the scan check work?

The image is decoded on our servers with ZXing, a widely used barcode reader, and jsQR as a backup, at several sizes from full resolution down to 700 pixels wide. It passes only if the decoded text matches your link exactly. It doesn’t simulate camera blur or angles, so a test with your phone is still worth doing.

What does “Scans (corrected)” mean?

The AI’s version of the code didn’t read, so CirculateQR redrew the true code in the same spot, matching the art’s perspective and colors, and the redrawn image passed the decode check.

Is the QR code hidden in the image?

No. The code is visible, drawn into the scene as part of it, for example on a label, a sign or a screen, so phone cameras can find and read it.

Which AI model is used?

Google’s Gemini image model generates the artwork. A separate Gemini model can rewrite your prompt for you on Studio and higher plans.

Can I try AI QR art for free?

Not for free: the free plan includes no AI credits. You can still make AI art on the free plan by buying an AI credit pack (10 for $9, 30 for $24, 100 for $69); one credit makes one standard image, and packs never expire. Studio includes 10 AI credits a month.
