Create your LinkedIn QR code

LinkedIn profile

Type the part after linkedin.com/in/, or paste the full link. For a company page, paste its link.

Your QR code appears here as you fill in the form.

Test it with your phone camera before you print or share it: point the camera at the preview and check it does what you expect.

How much of the code can be dirty, scratched or covered and still scan. Higher levels add more squares, so the code gets denser. Medium suits most uses; choose High for a logo or rough surfaces.

The blank border scanners need around the code. It never goes below 4 modules (the code’s small squares), as the QR standard asks.

Sharp up to 17 cm (6.8 in) at 300 dpi. SVG scales to any size.

Logo in the center (optional)

PNG, JPG, WebP, GIF or SVG. It stays in your browser and is never uploaded.

How to make a LinkedIn QR code

  1. Enter your profile name

Type the part of your profile address after linkedin.com/in/. For a company page, paste its full link instead.

  2. Check the link

Open “What’s inside this code” and open the link to make sure it’s your profile.

  3. Style it (optional)

Pick colors and add your logo.

  4. Download it

Download an SVG for business cards and name badges, or a PNG for slides and email signatures.

  5. Test it

Scan it with your phone: it should open your profile in the LinkedIn app.

What a LinkedIn QR code contains

The code holds your public profile’s web address. On a phone with LinkedIn installed it opens in the app, where people can connect or follow.

https://www.linkedin.com/in/alex-morgan
linkedin.com/in/name
A personal profile.
linkedin.com/company/name
A company page. Paste the whole link.

You can make your profile address shorter and easier to scan: on your profile, choose Edit public profile & URL and set a custom URL. Do it before you print, because changing it later breaks the code.

Tips for printing and scanning

For LinkedIn QR codes

  • Put the code on your business card, conference badge or last slide, where people want to connect straight away.
  • Check your public profile settings, so people who aren’t signed in can still see your name and headline.
  • Pair it with a vCard code if people also need your phone number and email in their contacts.

For any printed QR code

  • Size: print the code at least 2 cm (0.8 in) wide for something held in the hand. For signs and posters, make it about a tenth of the scanning distance: roughly 10 cm (4 in) wide to scan from 1 m (3 ft).
  • Contrast: use a dark code on a light background. Light-on-dark codes and pale brand colors fail on some phones.
  • Quiet zone: keep a blank border of at least 4 modules (the code’s small squares) around it. Don’t crop it or put text and graphics right up against the code.
  • File type: use the SVG for print, since it stays sharp at any size. The 2048 px PNG is enough for print up to about 17 cm (6.8 in) wide at 300 dpi.
  • Surface: avoid glare from glossy laminate, tight curves (bottles, cups) and folds that cut through the code.
  • Test: scan a printed proof with an iPhone and an Android phone, at the real distance and in the real lighting, before you print in bulk.

When to use a dynamic code instead

A dynamic code lets you change where it points, for example from your profile to your company page or a job post, and counts how many people scanned it after an event.

Dynamic codes need a free CirculateQR account. On the free plan a dynamic code stays live for 14 days after you publish it; on a paid plan your codes stay live with no time limit, or you can keep a single code for a one-time $5.

The code you make on this page is static: free, permanent and private, but fixed once printed. Static and dynamic codes compared.

LinkedIn QR code questions

Doesn’t LinkedIn have its own QR code?

Yes: in the LinkedIn app, tap the QR code icon in the search bar to show yours. It’s quick when you meet someone in person. This generator gives you a code to print on cards, badges and slides, in your colors and with your logo, as a PNG or SVG.

How do I find my LinkedIn profile URL?

Open your profile and choose Edit public profile & URL, or copy the address from your browser. It looks like linkedin.com/in/your-name.

Can I make a QR code for a LinkedIn company page?

Yes. Open the company page, copy its address (linkedin.com/company/…) and paste the whole link above.

Do LinkedIn QR codes expire?

No. The code holds your profile link, so it works as long as your profile URL stays the same.

Can I see how many people scanned it?

Not with a static code. A dynamic CirculateQR code counts every scan.
