To use QR codes for asset tracking, open the Asset Tracking template in Studio and make a page for each item: its name and photo, asset tag, serial number, home location, a notice such as Company property, and buttons to call the tool room, report a problem or open service records in your own system. Print the code on a durable label. Each scan is logged with the time and approximate city, so you can see when an item was last scanned.

Frequently asked questions
Does this replace an asset management system?
No. There is no check-in, check-out or maintenance log in CirculateQR. The page shows the item's details and links to the systems where you keep those records.
Can I see exactly where an item was scanned?
You see an approximate city and country from the network, plus the time and device. It isn't a GPS location.
Do I need to create each page myself?
Yes. Each item has its own page and code, which you create and name in Studio. There's no bulk upload in the dashboard.
Can I update the page after the label is attached?
Yes. Edit the page in Studio and publish again. The label keeps working.
Will the labels keep working?
On a paid plan, yes, while you subscribe and for 14 days after you cancel. Then they pause until you subscribe again, and nothing is deleted. On the free plan, codes pause 14 days after publishing.
